TOPS holds celebration at local restaurant
On April 23, TOPS OH1573 Nashville honored Division II and Div. IV weight loss losers.
Mabel Leid came in first in Div. IV with Bonnie Porter second.
The three division winners were presented with flowering plants, as were the group’s four officers and the weight recorder.
The celebration was held at a local restaurant.
TOPS meets at Nashville Global Methodist Church on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m., with weigh-in at 5 p.m. The first meeting is free.
On April 16 the group had only a quarter-pound gain.
Leid was the best weekly loser. She said to eat an apple every day and use small plates.
Bonnie Porter gave a program titled Exercise Snacking from Prevention Fit. Exercise is any physical movement. Exercise snacking is doing any strenuous movement three times for 20 or more seconds. Begin with eight to 10 repetitions, then build with time. It could be going up the stairs, walking briskly for five minutes, doing yoga, et cetera. These activities should be done several times a day.
