TOPS welcomes new member

On Feb. 7, TOPS OH1573 Nashville welcomed Lynn Franks as a new member. Geneva Pringle was best weekly loser. She said to watch intake of carbs and to limit chocolate. Lana Rush was best weekly and KOPS.

Donna Goodwill gave a program on protein from the TOPS website. Protein is the macronutrient that takes the longest to digest and promotes a feeling of fullness for a longer period of time. It helps with weight loss and builds lean muscle mass. Protein supports bones, immune system and growth, and it is suggested 30-35% of calories come from protein. Goodwill gave members a 10-item quiz on the assets of protein.

TOPS Club meets each Wednesday at the Nashville Global Methodist Church at 5:30 p.m., with weigh-in at 5 p.m. The first meeting is free.
