Bradon Weber, Maggie Johnson, Cambri Mushrush, Emily Luyster, Michaela Yoder and Abigail Zeedyk.

                        

Six area high school seniors were awarded $1,500 scholarships from the College Club of Tuscarawas County at the annual recognition dinner held April 20 at Tuscora Park Pavilion in New Philadelphia.

The scholarship winners are as follows:

—Brandon Weber of Newcomerstown High, son of Chadwick Weber and Leah Watson. He plans to attend the University of Akron and study mechanical engineering.

—Maggie Johnson of Indian Valley, daughter of David and Kathrine Johnson. She plans to attend Ohio State University and major in nursing and Spanish.

—Cambri Mushrush of New Philadelphia High, daughter of Jason and Shanda Mushrush. She plans to attend the University of Alabama and major in biomedical engineering.

—Emily Luyster of Claymont High School, daughter of Rick and Jen Luyster. She plans to attend Miami University and major in history and anthropology.

—Michaela Yoder of Dover High School, daughter of Michael and Melaine Yoder. She plans to attend Ohio State and major in elementary education.

—Abigail Zeedyk of Dover High School, daughter of Matthew and Erica Zeedyk. She plans to attend Kent State Stark and major in medical laboratory science.
