Ohio’s Hospice invites the community to its Pathways of Hope luminaria event on Sunday, Oct. 20 at 6 p.m. behind the Gault Inpatient Pavilion on the campus of Ohio’s Hospice in Wooster, 1900 Akron Road.

Luminarias with the names of loved ones or special people honored and remembered will be lit, glowing at dusk around the pond and surrounded by woods. This event is open to everyone in the community, regardless of whether they have had a loved one in the care of Ohio’s Hospice.

“A brief program with music and readings will be part of the evening that allows friends and families to gather,” said Katherine Ritchie Grant, development director at Ohio’s Hospice. “The support of events like this helps make it possible to offer the superior care and superior services — including bereavement services — to the communities we are privileged to serve.”

Luminarias cost $20 each, and memory signs are $30 each. After the event luminarias and signs can be taken home. Net proceeds from this event support patient care and bereavement services at Ohio’s Hospice.

In-person registration is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Ohio’s Hospice in Wooster at the main building. To register online, visit www.ohioshospice.org/Luminaria24.
