Tips sought after arson in Wooster
The Division of State Fire Marshal’s Fire and Explosion Investigations Bureau asks for tips from the public regarding an intentionally set fire to a building at 230 S. Market St. in Wooster.
The building is behind the Flamingo Jack’s Market Street Grill & Pub. The fire occurred around 1 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 10. The investigation is being conducted jointly by the marshal’s office, the Wooster Fire Department and the Wooster Police Department.
A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered by the Blue Ribbon Arson Committee. BRAC was developed in 1973 to assist investigators in the state of Ohio. In 1978 BRAC started the Reward Fund, which offers financial incentives for information that leads to convictions involving the crime of arson or information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the fire.
