TOPS learns about budgeting
On Dec. 20, TOPS 1573 Nashville opened with pledges. Mabel Leidl was best weekly loser. She said to drink plenty of water and to limit sweets. Lana Rush was best weekly loser.
Geneva Pringle presented a program from a gift calendar titled “Eating on a Small Budget.” It emphasized lowering calorie intake by using broth soup instead of creamy, sharing a meal with a friend at a restaurant, getting smaller portions, eating fruit for dessert and eating raw vegetables.
TOPS meets each Wednesday at the Nashville Global Methodist Church at 5:30 p.m., with weigh-in at 5 p.m. Everyone is welcome. The first meeting is free.
